Nicaragua as I saw it

Here are the pictures that I promised everyone back in September! This does not do my experience in Nicaragua any justice, but will give everyone an idea of what my life and ministry was like there. I did not do a very good job at capturing all that I wanted to through pictures, and did not take my camera to ministry much at all. But here is what I have to share Enjoy!

Vision Nicaragua was the ministry that hosted us while we did our outreach as well as held ministries at our base in Chinandega, Nicaragua.

We lived in the yellow building in the distance. The mountain in the back is an active volcano just miles away from the base.

On our 2nd day there the volcano erupted.

Spearing giant mutated bugs became a daily ritual for us.

Just some cows in the road, the usual.

One of the houses in Bethel. I have an incredible story about this house and the family that lived there. But that will come with the next blog.

We got to build another room onto a man's house that worked for vision Nicaragua. This is a picture from the early stages of the project.

We hosted church conferences at the base pretty regularly. Some of them from early afternoon till early morning the next day, Sleepless nights, but good memories.

The youth from Bethel would come over at least 2 times a week for Bible study and fellowship.

All 25 of us would pile into the back of this truck whenever it was time to go anywhere.

Lunch. At least i knew what the meat was that time.

Me with Danilo and Isaac, 2 young men from Bethel.

Baptizms at the beach.

I found a Dr Pepper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothin like some good street food.

We went to several parades. Long, hot, awesome cultural experince.

All packed up and ready for the Philippines!

  1. Dang dude! So many good pictures and experiences here. Love how much you learned and got to experience while you were in Nicaragua. Really excited about what your new leadership and what the Lord will grow you in while we are in Asia!
